How does Unique National Collections work?

  • As Unique National Collections receives any customer’s account from their client library, it immediately sends a letter to the customer.
  • Then the agency waits for 3 weeks. If the customer does not respond within that time period, then it again sends a letter for the second time.
  • If the customer responds and returns overdue material, but makes a partial payment, then Unique National Collections sends a letter to the customer requesting him for making the full payment.
  • If even after 2 weeks of sending the second letter, the customer does not pay the amount that he owes to the library, then Unique National Collections calls him directly and requests him to contact the library.
  • If the customers do not respond or do not pay in full then the agency makes more calls. The customers are told that if they do not contact the library and resolve the account then their credit will be reported to all the three major credit bureaus, Experian, TransUnion and Equifax.
